Modern Retro Twin Fin

The Rocket is a modern take on the late 70s twin fin, shaped by Scotty James and built with carbon fibre vacuum-bag construction. Loose, fast, and easy to ride, it’s designed for waves in the 2–5 ft range with a curvier face, performing well in both beach breaks and draining points.

Board Design

 flattish deck provides volume for paddle power, tapering into bevelled rails for performance. Fluted flyers drop the rail line for quicker engagement and projection, while a beak nose ties the rails together. The outline finishes with a deep swallow tail for added bite and release. Underneath, a generous entry rocker flows into a low-to-medium tail rocker, funnelling water through a double-barrel concave with twin channels set in a V. Sharp edges behind the fins work in unison with the flyers to maintain grip on the face. Designed primarily as a twin, it can also be run with a small trailer for extra hold.
