Meet Gunther Rohn

Gunther Rohn has spent decades at the forefront of surfboard design. His label, Gunther Rohn Surfboards, has produced boards for many of the world’s best surfers, contributing to WCT and WQS victories since the late 1980s - beginning with Nicky Wood’s first ASP win at Bells Beach in 1987, at just 16 years old.

The list of riders is unmatched: Sunny Garcia, Jake Patterson, Trent Munro, Darren O’Rafferty, Pancho Sullivan, Anthony Walsh, Dion Atkinson, and many more. Even icons like Kelly Slater, Andy Irons, Tom Curren, Martin Potter, and Dusty Payne have spent time on his boards.

Travelling the globe - from Indonesia to Hawaii, Brazil, Japan, Europe and beyond - and working with elite surfers has allowed Gunther to continually refine his models, producing some of the most high-performance craft available today.
