The team at Lucid Glassing is aiming to offer a full carbon vaccum bag glassing service and bring new technology into the surfboard industry. With over 75 years of surfboard building experience between us, we are now a collective of dedicated craftsmen. In an evolving industry of mass production and profit over quality we are striving to maintain the surfer/shaper relationship and the high quality that comes with experience and small batch manufacturing.
The process of building a carbon surfboard is different to a regular surfboard. We use fibreglass, carbon and epoxy resins then a special process called vacuum bagging. This process removes excess resin to save weight and also sandwiches the carbon/ fiberglass layers together creating stronger, lighter, performance driven carbon surfboards.

Dylan Perese is from the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia. Dylan's boards have become one of the most commonly recognised shapes in the water south of Sydney. His shapes are ridden by all; from professional surfers, local shredders and a crop of Australia's most promising up and coming young groms. DP's popularity is continuing to increase and it shows, you can pick up any Australian surfing magazine these days to see photos of DP Surfboards team tearing it up.

Lucid Glassing has collaborated with Dark Arts from San Diego, CA, USA to bring their world leading carbon construction to Australian shores. We will be working with a selected group of Australian and International shapers to offer Dark Arts construction on your new board here in OZ.
