The team at Lucid Glassing is striving to keep the quality and bring new technology into the surfboard industry. With over 55 years of surfboard building experience between us, we are now a collective of dedicated craftsmen. In an evolving industry of mass production and profit over quality we are striving to maintain the surfer/shaper relationship and the high quality that comes with experience and small batch manufacturing.
The process of building a carbon surfboard is different to a regular surfboard. We use fibreglass, carbon and epoxy resins then a special process called vacuum bagging. This process removes excess resin to save weight and also sandwiches the carbon/ fiberglass layers together creating stronger, lighter, performance driven carbon surfboards.

We are currently working with a select group of surfboard shapers to bring their boards to life in carbon construction and available to order here. We also offer the opportunity to speak to your shaper to order your favourite shapes in this new carbon surfboard technology.
