Midlenth for softer surf

The Grand Tourer is a midlength built for glide, paddle power, and looseness in softer conditions. Best suited to 2-4 ft waves with a slopey face, it combines easy entry and flow with enough responsiveness to keep turns lively. As the groveller in Scotty’s midlength range, it’s ideal for surfers who regularly ride soft, slow waves.

A flat deck maximises foam for paddle strength, with bevelled rails dropping into a performance-style boxy rail. Rails run soft in the nose and sharpen through the tail for drive and hold. The wide point is set forward for added foam under the chest, while wings just behind the fins pull the tail in, improving responsiveness and control in steeper sections. The bottom contour features a “scoop” concave - spiral-vee double-concave set in a single concave - that generates speed and promotes smooth rail-to-rail transitions. Slightly increased nose rocker improves turning ability in smaller waves.

The Grand Tourer offers effortless glide, speed, and flow in smaller, softer waves while retaining the control and bite needed to handle steeper sections when required.
