The Phaza from Outer Islands Surfboards is a progressive take on the classic daily driver - purpose-built for high-speed, pocket-oriented surfing where control, energy, and fluidity meet. Now available in carbon surfboard construction, this trusted design gets a performance upgrade with enhanced flex and longevity.
Sculpted with a low entry rocker and refined bottom contours, the Phaza effortlessly accelerates through sections while maintaining stability and drive. A continuous edge line wraps the entire rail, seamlessly integrating a tucked-in nose with a hard, responsive tail, making it an intuitive board for rail-to-rail and front-to-back transitions.
Performance That Reacts With You
Engineered for powerful, committed turns at speed, the Phaza encourages full-rail engagement with exceptional responsiveness. The rear foot acts as the accelerator, giving the rider explosive drive, while the front foot maintains clean, gliding momentum, perfect for navigating steep walls or flowing through the pocket.
Refined Flex for Explosive Exit
Featuring Mitchell Rae’s V2 Flex Stringer, the tail third of the Phaza is tuned for dynamic rebound. It stores energy through turns and unloads it with a slingshot-like release, enhancing projection out of manoeuvres.
Crafted by Lucid Glassing using full vacuum-bag carbon construction, this carbon surfboard delivers extended durability and a livelier ride over time. The advanced materials elevate a proven shape - keeping the board feeling electric, session after session.
This board works well in 2-6ft surf.
